His medical knowledge or surgical expertise
There is evidence of this in the 'Dear Boss' letter when he tries to explain blood, but instead, explains it by saying that it is 'red stuff'. However, when the police had thought they had caught him, they had convicted him as a doctor. Perhaps they had some external evidence and sources which showed he had medical knowledge. When looking into the witness accounts, no evidence was heard or seen that indicates that Jack the Ripper had any medical knowledge. But this point could be argued as he knew that ripping out organs from his victims would kill them.

Of average intelligence, and lucky not clever
There is evidence in the 'Dear Boss' letter as he is able to write the letter, but it doesn't necessarily show that he was lucky and not clever. Wintnesses which have claimed to have heard him talk explain that he had a reasonably good sense of speech, but as no one saw the actual scene of murder, it proves that he is either very lucky or he can plot quickly before he takes action.

Was a quiet loner
If his boss was a real person, that would show that he had a friendly relationship with him through the 'Dear Boss' letter, but that he is probably actually a loner as never in his letter did he show accomplices or associates. But the letter isn't enough to prove this. That is why we bring the witness accounts into this. This evidence contradicts the evidence of the letter because the witness accounts show that he was quite sociable with his victims before he kills them. Also, one of the witness accounts said that the murder was a two man job which therefore meant he had an accomplice.

'Jack the Rippers' personality was quiet grim and gruesome. He was also quiet a loner and anti-social according to some of the police. Others thought he was just a normal working man who went to work except in the night he became a mass murderer.
